I staged this play several years ago in Nebraska and it received a fantastic response. The play is hilarious! There was a part where one of the characters says "It keeps your peanuts off the floor." The audience thought he had said "penis", so he stopped and said "I said PEA-NUTS!" Got a huge roar. Also, the actor who played Ditterdorf forgot her line towards the end (the scene with the tea and sugar), so our stage hands ran out the remote control car with the script attached - also hilarious. Thank you for this wonderful play.

Synopsis
Desmond Boa has secretly borrowed $50,000 from a heartless and shifty banker in order to start a circus. Sadly, the circus is failing, and the loan is coming due. So Desmond and his eccentric business partner, Mr. Pupinski, decide to charm the wealthy Mrs. Dittersdorf into investing; however, they soon learn that their banker is also courting Mrs. Dittersdorf for her fortune. Desperate times call for desperate measures and it's not long before the banker ends up dead, or so they think, and Mrs. Dittersdorf's fortune goes up in smoke. Come one, come all for this Marx Brothers-style comedy with unforgettable characters, non-stop laughs and a phenomenal finale!
