First performed at Monte Vista High School, in Spring Valley, California on April 5, 2008. Remember to play the chorus as larger than life, but also remember that they are our storytellers, so we must understand them. Keep the pace and rhythm of this piece constantly moving. If you slow down too much, the audience will get ahead of you, so remember to give a nice lively flow. The show is basically poetry in motion.
 
 
Synopsis
The time is now. In the style of Greek drama this comedy unfolds through the eyes of the citizens of Athens High School in the Thebes District. Sunny is the prom queen and Cal, the prom king. High school level drama ensues when Sunny defends the rights of an incoming freshman. Will the king maintain his crown of arrogance and destruction or will his hubris take un unexpected path towards redemption?
