I allowed the Sophomore Class to decide what the Junior play would be. By one vote they decided on Hercules, concentrating on the Amazon Women over The Little Mermaid. Unfortunately, Disney owns the rights to Mermaid and as you know, they don't share.

But a deal is a deal, and with a little influence from "Desperate Housewives," I wrote this spoof which gets impetus from the constant bickering between the gods Zeus and Hera.

In this adventure, Pythia is delightfully zany, Hercules is enticed by sinuous, sexy nymphs, and the male entourage includes a sensible cousin, a hilariously hyperactive Hypermedes, an eccentric sheep loving Demon, Againod, who repeats every utterance, the clumsy woman-crazy Klutzakles, the ever-hungry Euripedes and the blind Iota, who constantly maims people with his cane.

The play received a great review with the headline, "Hercules, a hilarious spoof at Avon Grove High School!" and told us we produced a professional-grade performance with an impressive set, expert timing, and unending charm. I hope you enjoy it, too!
