Several of his plays have garnered acclaim through writing contests, including such works as Maria, which made it to the final round of the Tennessee Williams Play Festival. Second Sight was a quarterfinalist in the New Century Writing Awards, and Whisper was an honorable mention in the American Gem Short Script Contest.
