| | Frank V. Priore is a veteran of over forty years in the theatre. A graduate of the New York Academy Of Theatrical Arts, he has worked Off-Broadway as a professional actor; however, over the years, he has concentrated his energies on the development of regional theatre in the outer boroughs of New York City. He founded several regional theatre groups, and has performed in, directed, produced and written countless shows, and has worked as a member of the development staff of Queens Theatre In The Park, as well as Assistant Artistic Director of the Phoenix Players, the resident company of the Landmark Poppenhusen Institute in College Point, Queens and Director of The Chapel Players of College Point. He teaches math during the day in Queens, NY. and drama in the evening at the Landmark Poppenhusen Institute in College Point.
As a playwright, Frank has had over fifty of his plays published, including three anthologies of chancel drama for young people. He is the author of the book “Getting Your Acts Together” (Toad Hall, 1997, ISBN 0-9637498-4-6), a guide for playwrights, which has been cited as “…a landmark in the field.” By Steven Fendrich, Publisher of Pioneer Drama Service. | |
