Carrie Printz

Carrie Printz is an award-winning playwright. Her plays have won both national and regional competitions and have been produced at a variety of theaters, including The Edge Theatre Company and And Toto too Theatre Company in Colorado. Her full-length play, GIFTED, was produced by The Edge in 2013 after winning its new play festival, and another full-length play, RACE RELATIONS, won first place in Writer’s Digest’s 2009 Stage Play competition.

Carrie also is a journalist, communications consultant and freelance writer who has written for a multitude of publications and organizations ranging from the Associated Press to the Sarasota Herald-Tribune. Her favorite story she ever covered was about a woman who had her own circus pig act, Daisy’s Ham and Egg Revue. She’s still trying to figure out how to write a play about that one. Carrie is a member of the Dramatists Guild of America and holds a bachelor’s degree in economics from Brown University and a master’s degree in journalism from Northwestern University.
